DST International launches new Database Audit Module for H/3 |

DST International (DSTi), a leader in business solutions for the financial services industry, today announced the launch of an expanded module for HiPortfolio/3, the Database Audit Module (Audit Module).
The Audit Module for HiPortfolio/3 facilitates a transparent review of data recording, changes or deletions, and allows for online enquiries and reporting of system information. When a new record is added to a data file, or an existing record is changed or deleted, the Audit Module records who initiated the action, the timestamp of the action and the action type. This information is recorded in a series of history files. For DST International’s CEO for Australia and New Zealand, Ian Mathieson, there is a direct link to enhancements in the Audit Module and system auditability. Ian Mathieson explained, “Now with the new Audit Module, not only are additions, changes and deletions to many of entities in the system logged with greater process, it now possible to more transparently track when changes are made—and importantly, who made them. The information can then be interrogated by system auditors and operations control staff via either a series of on-line enquiries or hard copy reports. “With the ever increasing focus on full transparency, total disclosure and compliance for financial services organisations, the Audit Module streamlines processes involved in meeting a myriad of regulatory requirements familiar to fund administrators.” The Audit Module has introduced nine new windows and screens for existing static data files and can now be used to audit transactions, general ledger, integration rules, income, report authorities and module parameters. Developed in the company’s Melbourne, Australia, Research and Development Centre, the Audit Module follows on from the recent launch of the Data Retrieval Objects Module for HiPortfolio. This module enables broader access to data and increased administration management efficiency. The Audit Module is available now for HiPortfolio end users located throughout 550 international sites.
