Websense Enhances Channel Focus with Senior Appointment E-mail

Websense, Inc. (NASDAQ: WBSN) today announced that it has appointed seasoned security channel veteran, Mark Spencer, as Channel Manager for Australia and New Zealand based in Sydney. The newly created position reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to the local market distribution partners, including itX in Australia and Kaon in New Zealand.  Spencer will be responsible for the channel sales of Websense’s web security, web filtering and information leak prevention solutions.
Spencer joins Websense with more than 18 years’ experience in the IT industry and was formerly Account Executive for Channel Sales with Symantec. During his four years with the organisation, he managed partner relationships and facilitated day-to-day sales processes, including channel certification, training and partner contracts.

Previously, he spent four years with leading IT distributor, Express Data, as Enterprise Account Manager where he was responsible for management of vendor partners and driving both sales and marketing campaigns into corporate accounts.  Spencer has also worked as Sales Account Manager with IC Technologies, Corporate Account Manager with PC Direct ,and Customer Support Engineer with Sagem Australasia and Nashuatech.
