To accompany the release of further details about Mac OS X 10.5, Apple's web site has been given a facelift to match the Leopard look.
Gone are the Aqua-style tabs - in their place is a dark grey bar mirroring the look of Finder and other windows in Mac OS X 10.5.
Similarly, www.apple.com's left-side navigation bars match the design used for Leopard's revamped Sidebar, while the 'breadcrumb' trail resembles that already used in iTunes.
The change does have some downsides. Most of Apple's existing product shots feature the default blue desktop from Mac OS X 10.4, and they now sit uncomfortably with the dark grey theme. You might have expected grey to go with just about anything, but those blue desktops just act as constant reminders that we're in an interregnum until Leopard ships in October.{moscomment}
