There's also an 'important' remote code execution patch in Visio 2002 and 2003 (why such an issue isn't rated 'critical' is a mystery at this stage), as well as a 'moderate' information disclosure issue affecting Windows Vista. Exactly how many vulnerabilities will be fixed by each patch remains to be seen. Microsoft also plans to release the customary update for the Malicious Software Removal Tool, as well as seven non-security, high-priority updates. One of those will likely be an updated Outlook spam filter. This is the first time that Microsoft has used the more detailed format for its advanced notification of security bulletins.{moscomment} |
