The beta period is expected to run between six and 12 weeks, and users are encouraged to provide feedback and bug reports to the development team. Discounts are offered to those who pre-order the MT4 upgrade or who purchase dual MT3.51/MT4 licences during the beta period. MT4 runs on Windows XP/Vista/Server 2003, Linux, Solaris, BSD and Mac OS X with the Apache, Microsoft IIS or Netscape web servers. Internet Explorer 6.0 and higher and Firefox 1.5 and higher are supported; Mac OS X users are advised to use Firefox as some features of the WYSIWYG editor do not work with Safari. Six Apart has also announced plans for an open source version of Movable Type, to be based on MT4.{moscomment} |
