Australian based LED technology and media company Lumacom Limited (ASX:LUM), now has its flagship multimedia sign located at 4 Times Square, New York in operation, with the commencement of a trial by Disney. Disney Theatrical Productions Ltd has confirmed the 30 day trial period during which the Lion King logo will be displayed on the day time static billboard. Disney also has the right to trial night time video loops. Both the completed daytime Lion King image and night time footage can be clearly seen from various vantage points around Manhattan, the Hudson river, both sides of the Lincoln Tunnel, the New Jersey foreshore and can be identified on the Helix expressway for up to 10 kilometres, according to Lumacom. The Lion King Logo and animated footage will be lit up at night time using Lumacoms LED screen technology. Trialing of the sign and in particular, the electronic signaling from both local and remote locations,involving instant image and message changing controlled from Perth in Australia, will continue during this period. The official launch of the sign is scheduled for 21 April at the Westin Hotel at Times Square. |
