Optus has teamed up with Fairfax Digital to make Fairfax's business and finance news available to Optus mobile customers.

The deal extends an existing agreement between the two organisations under which Fairfax's general news content is available and will allow Optus to personalise business and finance news and information for its customers.

Fairfax Digital CEO, Jack Matthews, claimed that the agreement was "one of the biggest mobile phone content deals in Australia." It is the first in which Fairfax business and finance content has been offered to mobile phone users.Content available includes:

- Daily business and finance stories from the Fairfax publications including the 'Business Day' sections of Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, 'Money Manager' and 'Trading Room';
- Data from leading exchanges including stocks, currencies and indices;
- Daily market round ups: business winners, losers and the biggest movers;
- Business essentials including 'how to' guides, expert advice and stock tips;
- Market reports served as daily video bulletins and Fairfax Digital audio podcasts from Alan Kohler and Michael Pascoe (all multimedia content will be streamed).{moscomment}
