IP telephony provider, engin, has signed a reseller deal with broadband service provider aaNet to offer VoIP telephony services to aaNets broadband subscribers. Under the agreement, engin will provide aaNet with access to their VoIP telephony service at wholesale rates. aaNet will make the VoIP service available to its subscribers, who range from SMEs to residential consumers. Todays announcement follows aaNets successful internal deployment of the engin Voice Box IP telephony product, which according to aaNet, has proven to save the company nearly $8,000 a month in telephony charges at its Queensland-based national call centre. aaNet today took a large step forward in advancing the use of broadband by extending VoIP services to their SME and residential users, said Ilkka Tales, chief executive officer, engin. aaNets use of the engin Voice Box has already resulted in great savings for their own business, and today they are sharing the ability to enjoy low cost telephony with their customers. We have made monumental savings on our companys monthly call costs, and are pleased to offer our customers the same benefits we have enjoyed, said Lorraine Rose, managing director, aaNet. By working with engin, we are continuing to expand the use of our broadband services by increasing its functionality through VoIP to all our broadband subscribers. |
