The French government has recognised this unique game designer with a Knighthood in the Order of Arts and Letters

As a game designer, Peter Molyneux has worked on some of the most unique, memorable and groundbreaking titles for some time now.

Being part of the teams that created Black and White, Fable, The Movies and Dungeon Keeper to name a few, shows Molyneux's vision.  Today Molyneux released a statement about his recent knighthood; "I am extremely proud to have received this honour and would like to thank the French Ministry of Culture for this recognition," he said.

"I would also like to say that I see this as a credit for everyone at Lionhead Studios; all our games are a team effort. I am just the figurehead. It is fantastic to see videogames honoured in this way."

Molyneux received the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Order of Arts and Letters) on March 12th.  Anybody want to bet that receiving a Knighthood will be a major part of Fable 2?
