Gary Jackson, the Asia Pacific vice president of global storage vendor EMC has left the company under a cloud.
Sources close to the company say that the part was far from amicable and there could even be legal action. At present, Jackson's role is being filled by Tony Leung, who is based in Hong Kong. We spoke to Clive Gold, EMC's national product marketing manager for Australia and New Zealand. He confirmed that Jackson had left the company but would not comment further.
Jackson has been a colourful and enigmatic character in the Australian ICT industry. He has held the top job at some of Australia's largest local technology subsidiaries, including Microsoft and Cisco. While he left Cisco on good terms, his split with Microsoft was a well publicised bitter parting of the ways. We were unable to reach Jackson for comment.
