Cisco makes massive commitment to Telepresence E-mail

Fowler said that no systems had yet been sold in Australia. "but we have not pushed it until we got our own installation in place." Cisco has also announced global service offie operator Regus  as a customer, and Regus intends to install a system in Sydney.

The Australian demonstration co-incided with the announcement, at CeBIT in Hannover of a new TelePresence Multipoint Switch able to support up to 36 locations, and a number of other enhancements to the technology.

 Cisco TelePresence Virtual Agent, a version that integrates the single-screen Cisco TelePresence 1000 with Cisco Unified Contact Center Express. This is designed to enable skilled sales or technical personnel to be 'virtually deployed in real time: They can interact with customers across multiple remote branch locations on demand, without the need to travel to branches.

Cisco Services has also introduced 'Cisco TelePresence Select Operate Service', which provides customers and partners with remote monitoring and management of their network, unified communications and telepresence systems. Also available is the Cisco TelePresence Remote Assistance Service, which provides real-time administrative support for users of TelePresence.{moscomment}
