Guitar Hero II asks players to live the dream of performing on stage as part of a frenetic rock band, with a unique guitar controller being abused to match the onscreen notes accompanying a blistering sound track. Of course with Guitar Hero, it is not simply a matter of hitting the right notes at the right time. Instead it is a matter of hitting the right chords with a cool rock stance whilst wearing a contorted guitar “face”. Whether you are a shoe-gazer, head banger or rocker, there is vicarious fun to be had.
"With all the new content and features we’re adding for our initial launch onto next-gen systems, Guitar Hero II on the Xbox 360 is definitely going to rock harder than ever,” said Dusty Welch, head of publishing at RedOctane. “Our online initiative is going to provide an incredible opportunity for our fans to extend the gameplay experience, and we have ambitious ideas to continue to fully support these efforts.” |
