5 Best Practices for Smartphone Support
Joystiq.com is publishing the results of a recent reader survey. Quite simply the respondents were asked how much time they spent playing their particular gaming consoles, with 55,000 votes counted here is the highlights of the poll. 70% of respondents own a Wii, and it is popular as the main gaming console (34%), yet the poll also showed that there is a high attachment rate of the Wii with other gaming consoles. 25% of Wii owners stating they play with other systems more than the Wii The Xbox 360, with a year's head start on the others, and some would say a Joystiq.com bias, topped the poll with 60% of owners stating they used the Microsoft console as their primary choice of gaming hardware. Only 6% of Xbox 360 owners mentioned playing on other platforms more so. Meanwhile, the PS3 got a drubbing with 78% of respondents stating firstly that they didn't own a PS3, and close to 50% of the ones that did stating that they played other platforms more. Now this could mean anything, my 2 cents is that Sony are quite possibly achieving their targeted demographic. That is, the early adopters are less gamers, and more likely to be those attracted to the media and technology offering of the unit. With gamers possibly playing a wait and see game with Sony. Joystiq.com is obviously a gaming site, as such, many of these Blu-ray viewing PS3 owners would not visit the site, or is it just that PS3 owners are too busy having a hoot playing MotorStorm to get to the web? Full details of the poll can be located at this link {moscomment} |
