Optus has officially gone mad with its announcement that pre-paid wireless broadband pricing is actually going up in price – unless it’s an oddly clever way for Optus to reduce the heavy load on its overburdened 3.5G network. QueTF?!

 
Telstra never hosed up 21Mbps actual speeds, promotes eHSPA anyway

Telstra has finally announced that its network will be capable of reaching “peak” speeds of 21Mbps, but just as there are no 14.4Mbps devices on the current 14.4Mbps “peak” capable network, we won’t see any 21Mbps-class devices anytime soon, either.

Linux is a great Windows alternative, but with hundreds of millions more Windows users and thus a much larger potential user base, there’s no need to change entire operating systems to do simple stuff like surf the Internet, write documents and calculate taxes. And hey, Windows can ALSO help you to look after your health and well-being, including getting you off cigarettes and avoiding repetitive strain injury.
