Ever seen your computer crash? Robot cars may be coming and on the roads by 2030, and I’m all for them – but computer controlled car crashes aren’t my idea of a good time, and they’re probably not yours either.

The types of robots that will be commonplace in the future are being developed today, with the Stanford Racing Team’s newest robotic car, “Junior”, just one of the competitors in the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge, where robot cars have to drive in real world conditions – without crashing!

At last September’s IDF (Intel Developer Forum), Nokia and Intel announced they were working on a 3.5G HSDPA module to be included with Intel’s next Centrino platform for Core 2 Duo processors, dubbed ‘Santa Rosa’. Now it’s been cut, and what a shame for consumers this is!
