When is an unlimited plan NOT an unlimited plan? When it’s timed, has limits and exclusions which are listed in the fine print for you to discover, probably when it’s time to pay the bill. Should the use of the words ‘unlimited’ and ‘timeless’ be banned when it comes to telecommunications companies? NOTE: NEW STORY UPDATE FOLLOWS

 
Australian Government further delays “National Broadband Network” E-mail

With any Australian fibre-based broadband network still up to 5 years away, the date of completion just got extended by at least 6 months as the Australian Federal Government extends the time for “robust proposals” to be submitted for consideration. As usual, the Federal Opposition is outraged!

Google has made massive strides in working to dominate search from mobile phones as much as it does search from desktop computers, but they’re not the only ones. In Australia, Telstra’s assets BigPond, Sensis, Yellow Pages and other sites it owns are being promoted to users as a “convenient” way to find what you’re looking for from your mobile phone – but will Google still win anyway?

Launching an all out rebel assault against the dark side of the eBay and PayPal empire, the latest action from the eBay rebels sees them seeking recourse through the Australian court system. No longer relying on “using the force”, the rebels have decided to “use the courts”, instead!
