Review: Fable 2 E-mail
by Mike Bantick
Monday, 03 November 2008
So much to do, so many decisions both big and small, Fable 2 expands on its forebear in scope, without taking away the soul of the original.  Peter Molyneux and his Lionhead Studio team flirt with the dangerous when it comes to game design, but they pull it off in this classic RPG.

Atkinson goes against 90 percent of public opinion on R18+ classification E-mail
by Mike Bantick
Saturday, 01 November 2008
I always thought politicians simply chased votes by going with the public flow.  Well it is refreshing to see one that sticks to his guns regardless of the overwhelming public attitude against his stance.  Again the rather logical introduction of an R18+ classification for video games seems to be sunk by the South Australian Attorney General's out of step attitude.

Is it just me?  Or do others feel angry that we seem to have and Australian government so out of tune with the technological needs of the country?  It is not only embarrassing that we have a federal group of ministers hell-bent on making our bits and bytes G rated, but annoying that they spend our hard earned tax dollars on net filters and irrelevant classification systems.  All of which fly in the eye of popular opinion, to garner some minority support.

by Mike Bantick
Wednesday, 22 October 2008
Does a game where purchasing a stall at the town market, marrying (err. Maybe a couple of times) and (kinda) settling down or training your dog to fetch a ball sound like your kind of game?  Well, maybe not when it is put like that, but Fable 2 is definitely going to be a game you will remember.

by Mike Bantick
Tuesday, 21 October 2008
After an experiment lasting a couple of years where attendance was by invite only, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) looks like it will be returning to an old haunt and opening the doors wide for 2009.  How long will it last?

by Mike Bantick
Monday, 20 October 2008
LucasArts have had a busy 2008, now comes a new Intellectual Property from the video game arm of the grey quiff’s company.  Fracture shows a lot of potential, but ultimately little pressure cracks appear on its glossy surface.

Review: Viva Pinata – Trouble in Paradise E-mail
by Mike Bantick
Sunday, 19 October 2008
Pinata's are for beating with sticks, right?  In this game it is all about cultivating a garden to attract the cute little bugga's, make them happy with nice surroundings and friends, fill them with candy and then, and only then, beat them with a stick.
