There is a storm on the horizon, and this one is controlled by The Creative Assembly, developers in good standing with fans of Real Time Strategy games. The makers of the Total War series are set to launch a new game entitled Stormrise, for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. To give console players a fighting chance, they are trying out a new control mechanism known as Whip Select.

The Need For Speed franchise has been around since 1994. For almost a decade and a half we have been stealing, racing and crashing expensive cars, flaunting the highway patrol and trying to impress pretty girls (and pretty boys for that matter). Being the only developed nation without an adult rating for a range of ever increasingly sophisticated video games, Australian game fans are often frustrated, annoyed and forced to find other methods to obtain ‘banned’ titles. In relatively recent times however there has been a glimpse of ‘the sensible’ as the attorneys-general agreed to discuss the situation. But yet again the process has been stymied by South Australian Attorney-General Michael Atkinson.
