It is possible that for a lot of early HDTV adopters, the experience of PS3 games may not be as Hi Def as they hoped for? Microsoft says not to use pirated Vista, will be ‘useless’

In a statement of the bleeding obvious given Microsoft’s foray into the world of Windows Genuine Activation, making the act of pirating Windows XP or Vista almost pointless, Microsoft has advised customers wanting Vista not to use a pirated copy but to wait for the real thing.

 
Halo 3 comes to Xbox 360 in US spring, some fans disappointed

It’s been five years since the launch of the original Xbox, and one year since the Xbox 360. To celebrate, Microsoft has announced that Halo 3 is coming to you as a multiplayer beta on Xbox Live in the US spring, with the game still due to come sometime in 2007, disappointing millions of Halo fans.

 
TiVo brings web content to TVs in bid for living room supremacy

Anyone wanting to watch videos downloaded from the Internet on their TVs either need a nice big flat screen plasma or LCD TV with a VGA (or better) plug, or an Xbox 360 or PS3. But while selected high-end iPods and Nokia phones have allowed TV viewing for some time, TiVo’s plans to let users effortlessly share homemade content sets it apart from the rest.

 
400,000 Nintendo Wii’s for Japan, but how many for the US?

The Nintendo Wii is nearly here, with the US interestingly getting the console on November 19, almost a couple of weeks before the Japanese get 400,000 of them on December 2.

In all the rush to get the Zune and Vista out the door, while launching a stack of Xbox 360 updates, it seems Microsoft forgot its large base of Vista RC1 and RC2 users, and those now using the final RTM, who might want to use the Zune with their Vista PC. Why? Because it just doesn’t work.

Well, Monday the 13th of November came and went without Apple launching their wireless, widescreen iPod. The new target date for that now has to be Macworld in January 2007, giving Microsoft a scant six weeks to make an impact with the Zune before the global news is likely to be Apple Apple Apple.
