Activision has announced new content for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. This consists of an entire new single-player level.

Developer Naughty Dog is amping up the hype for the release of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves on the PlayStation 3. What for many was THE game of this year’s E3 event, and the sequel to the must have Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2 is definitely shaping up nicely. To this extent, Naughty Dog exec Christophe Balestra believes it would have been impossible to code the game for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 platform.

Microsoft has upped the ante in this new phase of video game console war, whilst Nintendo stand on the sidelines, both Sony with the new PS3 Slim and Microsoft with its revamped and cheaper Xbox 360 line up are slugging it out at retail again.

Microsoft has released three new classics to the Xbox 360 Games on Demand service. Availability is per region (Details inside), but the new games are Burnout Revenge, FIFA 09 and Need For Speed ProStreet, but are the Microsoft pricing expectations just too high?

The best move Sony made recently was not so much slimming down the size of the PlayStation 3, but slimming down the price. As a possible return shot it looks like Microsoft is readying a package that, at a nice price, includes the Xbox 360 Elite, the Wireless Network Adaptor and one of the most popular games of all time.
