Fujitsu Australia has won a $150 million desktop and helpdesk services contract with the Northern Territory Government, beating incumbent CSC, Hewlett Packard and Unisys in a competitive tender.  The four year contract will see Fujitsu, and local business partners deliver desktop and associated services to more than 17,000 Northern Territory Government users.

Niche market software developer Simbient has signed a deal to upgrade the technology platform linking mortgage provider Aussie Home Loan with its 600 mobile mortgage brokers.

Acer Computer Australia, with the support of Intel, has signed a five-year sponsorship agreement with local publishing giant PBL, which will see the Sydney SuperDome re-branded as Acer Arena. The entertainment centre will take on its new identity from 12 May 2006.

One of Australia's oldest technology brands, ICT services provider AWA Limited, claims to be on the come-back trail. AWA, an unlisted public company has  acquired warranty management services provider Telefix Sales Pty Ltd as a stepping stone to its rebuilding plans.

IT infrastructure access specialist, Citrix Systems, has signed a $5 million contract with the Victorian Government for the supply of its Citrix Presentation Server product and services.

Business advisory and accounting firm, RSM Bird Cameron, claims it will take just 12 months recover an investment in IBM Lotus QuickPlace to establish a nationwide, mobile, paperless office. The solution has been deployed across Australia and will be used by 700 staff through deployment on existing IBM infrastructure.
