Zavros will replace Julia Andrys who will remain with the company until the end of the year to assist Zavros and oversee the completion of a software development cycle. Zavros has worked in Europe and the US and has held key positions in information technology companies in Australia over the past ten years including, regional general manager KAZ Group, director of business development Fundi Group, and others. His last 12 months has been spent moving a local technology operator overseas to its new headquarters in Orange County USA. |

Legacy systems access software provider, AttachmateWRQ, has appointed Wendy Hamson as channel sales manager, Australia and New Zealand. Hamson, who is based in Melbourne, joins AttachmateWRQ after four years as senior account manager for Serena, a software configuration and web content management specialist. Prior to her role at Serena, Hamson was account manager for the southern region at Attachmate after moving from her native Canada. While in Canada, Hamson spent three years with Hummingbird Communications as sales account manager and marketing communications manager.

Name recognition software developer, Language Analysis Systems, has appointed Frank Jensen as managing director, Australia and Asia Pacific. The appointment is the first to be made under the company’s new international expansion plan to extend its reach beyond the US into Australia and Asia-Pacific. Jensen will be responsible for establishing LAS in Australia, managing the company’s Canberra office, driving sales and coordinating the company’s entrance into other Asia Pacific markets, including Singapore and New Zealand. Prior to joining LAS, Jensen held a global channel and partner management role with The Distillery, a company involved in intelligence and investigations management applications. In his 15 year career, Jensen has held a number of business development and management roles with companies including: Viewlocity, Frontec, Global One, and First Data Integrator. |

Goddard has been with SSA global since January 2001 and was formerly the general manager, Pacific. During his tenure, Goddard doubled revenues and the customer base for SSA Global in the Pacific region, according to the company. |

Printers and imaging vendor Lexmark today announced that it has appointed Roy Brady as general manager, enterprise, corporate and government (ECG) for Australia and New Zealand. Brady was formerly head of marketing for Lexmark ECG. He brings to Lexmark extensive experience in enterprise solutions marketing from his previous roles at HP, Compaq and Microsoft. He will report directly to Graham Kittle, Lexmark’s managing director for Australia and New Zealand. Brady’s appointment is effective immediately. |

Global technology consultant Capgemini has appointed three senior staff in its Australian office. Craig Glindemann, Brian Wharton and Stephen McGuinness have joined the technology services practice. Glindemann joins Capgemini as a vice president, following a long stint with Capgemini in the UK. Melbourne-born Glindemann returns to Victoria to work in supply chain management within the manufacturing, retail and distribution sectors. Wharton joins Capgemini as a director, also based in Melbourne. He has worked as a consultant with many of Australia's largest corporations including Telstra, BHP Billiton and Orica. Wharton specialises in the development of information systems strategy and the management and delivery of complex technical solutions. McGuinness joins Capgemini's Sydney office as a director. Most recently a director at a boutique, consulting firm, Odessey Group Consulting, McGuinness previously worked at Coca-Cola Amatil and Reckitt & Colman. His areas of expertise include IT strategy development and supply chain and program management. |
