Reeltime, which plans to launch a national video-on-demand service over broadband in mid year, has signed a three-year VoD distribution deal with Hopscotch Films under which it will screen first run features and library movies distributed by Hopscotch.

Browser developer, Opera, has announced an agreement with IPTV set-top box and software developer, Amino, under which the Opera browser will be offered as an option with Amino's AmiNET110 set-top box and the Opera browser technology will be incorporated into next generation products. Separately Opera has announced that it will integrate BitTorrent technology into its browser.

SingTel Optus acquired 212,000 net new customers in the three months to 31 December, 2005 taking its total to 6.30 million, according to figures released by its parent, SingTel.
