ASX-listed 'dark fibre' and Internet peering point operator, Pipe Networks, has closed its $6.5 million rights issue with a 45 percent over subscription. The board will complete the scale back of the oversubscription and expect the shares to commence trading on the ASX 13 February.

CAD software vendor, Autodesk, has appointed Doug Shinsato as vice president of Asia Pacific central sales. Shinsato will be responsible for the sales of Autodesk solutions in the Asia Pacific central region, including Japan, Korea and South-East Asia. Prior to joining Autodesk, Shinsato worked as an independent consultant for multinational corporations where he recently completed a major project in Japan for a multinational telecommunications manufacturer. He is also the managing partner of a US-Japan real estate investment fund and was the non-executive chairman of earth9, a software company, based in Singapore. Prior to that, Shinsato was president of Siebel Japan. |
