(Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced major new capabilities within its Veritas Server Foundation product family to transform the emerging field of Data Center Automation (DCA). The release of Veritas Application Director brings to Veritas Server Foundation the industry's only solution to enable IT to control when and where multi-tiered applications run across heterogeneous physical and virtual environments to maximise server utilisation and application availability. 12th September 2006, Melbourne, Australia – Geomatic Technologies (GT), with the Department of Infrastructure (DOI), have together completed the Victorian Rail Infrastructure Survey and Pass Assets project. The project involved producing a register of assets associated with Victoria’s Rail Infrastructure, estimated to be worth $6 billion. The register was identified by the State Government as being a requirement following the rail privatisation process in the late 90’s. Geomatic Technologies was commissioned by the DOI, to conduct a state-wide survey of all rail infrastructure through Metropolitan Melbourne and Rural Victoria.
