Google reveals plans for micropayment platform for newspapers E-mail

In a paper submitted to the Newspaper Association of America, Google discusses its plans for an extension of the Google Checkout shopping service to enable publishers to aggregate and charge for content. Among the features would be the ability to charge "a penny to several dollars" for content.

NEC broadband for seniors goes live E-mail

NEC has set up kiosks at 40 locations around Australia where seniors can get training and access to online resources to help them use the Internet, with another 100 sites to go live by the end of this month, all as part of the federal government’s $15 million Broadband for Seniors initiative.

 
Chinese site renews threat to sue UK blogger in Australia E-mail

Lawyers in New South Wales, acting on behalf of the Chinese owners of massive multiplayer online game Evony, have reiterated their threats of legal action to a British blogger, for allegedly making remarks defamatory of the firm.
