Employer sentiment in Australia’s information technology sector has increased to the highest level recorded since April 01, according to the latest Hudson Report Employment Expectations survey released by recruitment firm Hudson.

IT and white collar recruiter, Candle Australia Limited, has advised that subject to June trading, it expects to increase profits after tax by over 60% to approximately $11.6 million, a record result. According to Candle, the strong result been driven both by recent acquisitions and to organic growth.

IT recruitment agency Finite has launched into the highly specialist IT executive search market with its new division, FinXEC IT Executive Search. National manager for the new division is former KPMG Executive Search & Selection manager, Rob Stummer. He held senior positions on both sides of the industry - initially as head of Information Technology prior to moving into IT recruitment for TMP Worldwide (formerly Morgan & Banks) and then KPMG. Other IT search consultants have been recruited for the division, including: Brad Cunningham, principal consultant; Jennifer Yap, principal consultant; and Danielle Butcher, principal consultant.
