Power and cooling management solutions provider APC has appointed a new IT Channel Sales Manager, Pacific region and new Channel Account Managers for NSW and Victoria. Bart Mascorella joins APC-MGE as the IT Channel Sales Manager for the Pacific region. Mascorella brings more than 25 years of IT experience to the role. Previously he held the position of Channel Sales Manager, Australia, Northern Region, at Symbol Technologies. He has also worked as National Channel Manager for Emerson Network Power, Australia and New Zealand, and held a range of senior sales positions for high-profile organisations such as Cisco Systems and IBM. APC also announced today the appointment of Richard Farrell as APC’s Channel Account Manager for NSW and Natalie Gilbert as Channel Account Manager for Victoria.

WAN applications provider Packeteer has appointed Marco Corrent to the newly created role of channel sales manager for Australia and New Zealand. Corrent, based in Sydney, reports to Bede Hackney, Packeteer's country manager for Australia and New Zealand. Corrent's most recent position prior to joining Packeteer was with network antivirus and Internet security company, Trend Micro as national partner and alliance manager. Previously Corrent worked for communications and networking vendor, Nortel, as channel account manager with responsibility for enterprise channel partners.

SAP Australia and New Zealand has appointed Patrick Elliot as general manager for its SAP Business Process Platform and NetWeaver sales organisation. Elliot joins SAP from COGNOS, where he most recently held the position of vice president field operations, Asia Pacific. He has over 15 years of experience in the industry with COGNOS, Hyperion and Computer Associates, working in sales, sales leadership and general management roles across Australia, the United States and Canada.

ICT solutions provider Macquarie Telecom has appointed Larry Morgan as managing director, based in Singapore. Morgan has more than 25 years of experience in the global telecommunications services industry. He was based in Singapore as vice president and general manager of BT Infonet’s Asia-Pacific region for more than four years, where he managed 14 countries and achieved more than 400% revenue growth over a four-year period. Prior to joining Macquarie Telecom, Morgan served as President/CEO and was also a member of the Board of Directors with Virtela Communications, a North American Virtual Network Operator. Before joining Infonet, Morgan held several senior management positions in Sprint and AT&T after a career in sales with IBM.

Education software and managed IT services provider, Editure, has appointed Barbara Evans as the new Education Technology division General Manager, based in Melbourne. Ms Evans has more than 25 years experience in program management, training, and practice development. Her career includes six years at IBM’s business consultancy services arm, responsible for program management, business development and staff training across a diverse range of areas including CRM and Service Oriented Architecture. She also led several of IBM’s strategic outsourcing activities. She has also had roles with DMR Consulting (now part of Fujitsu Consulting) and in the IT recruitment industry. Ms Evans' appointment is one of several senior executive additions to the team Editure expects to make following a recent organisational change after its merger with A.U.S.S.I.E, the US-based teacher professional development firm in April this year.
