A study of almost 300 children in England found that artificial food additives such as colorings and preservatives--which are common in candies and soft drinks consumed by kids--increase their energy levels, which increases their hyperactivity and diminishes their learning ability.

A new study conducted by Australia's Commonwealth Science and Industrial Research Organization has found that overweight and obese men can strip inches off their waist-line and lose weight effectively and safely on a high protein red meat diet. In fact, a balanced red meat diet was found to be better for tightening the belt buckle than a balanced carb diet.

Harvard researchers scanned the brains of migraine headache patients and volunteers without such headaches. They found that fibers in the brain, which relay pain signals, were thicker in migraine patients.
