3GSM Mobile VoIP (voice over internet protocol) will not hit mobile telephony revenues, but will have more of an impact on fixed line services, according to T-Mobile International AG chief executive Hamid Akhavan.

At last September’s IDF (Intel Developer Forum), Nokia and Intel announced they were working on a 3.5G HSDPA module to be included with Intel’s next Centrino platform for Core 2 Duo processors, dubbed ‘Santa Rosa’. Now it’s been cut, and what a shame for consumers this is!

Telstra has announced a decline of 15.7% or $546 million in its EBIT for the half year ended 31 December 2006. However this was better than 17% to 20% fall forecast in the T3 prospectus and previous guidance.
