Service provider Unisys West has appointed Brian Lee as WA Public Sector Partner, further strengthening its commitment to the Public Sector in Western Australia. Mr Lee joins Unisys West with a wealth of government experience within Western Australia, particularly in the delivery of commercial services. He comes to Unisys West from Western Power, where he held the role of Chief Information Officer for two years and spearheaded the transition of IT services to four separate companies – Western Power, Synergy, Verve and Horizon Power.  He also brings an impressive track record in major change management programs, including with government clients.  As a partner with KPMG Consulting in Perth, he implemented a substantial change program for the Government Employees Superannuation Board (GESB), the largest Western Australia-based superannuation fund, and he previously managed large change programs for BankWest, HBOSA and WMC Resources.  He serves on the Health Department Audit Committee and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

O'Connor has 20 years experience in the IT industry with organisations including Macromedia (now Adobe), i2 Technologies, System Software Associates and IBM. Printers vendor, Canon Australia, has appointed Steve Doszpot as general manager of its Canberra branch to drive the company's growth in the government sector. Prior to joining Canon Australia, Doszpot acted in a consulting capacity for Canon for 12 months. He has also previously held senior executive positions with Wang Computer Australia and the former Digital Equipment Corporation. In 1989 he established Canberra Strategic Marketing, where he delivered government relations, business development, lobbying and specialist marketing services to the information technology and corporate sectors. In 1998, Doszpot acted as Canberra Events Director for the Sydney Olympic Games Organising Committee.  He is also an executive of the Tuggeranong Community Council, a past president of Soccer Canberra and the ACT Olympic Council. Doszpot is also a former member of the boards of CanTrade (the ACT Government Advisory Board) and the Canberra Institute of Technology.



Lexmark names new APAC president and GM

Printers manufacturer, Lexmark International, has named David Chan as president and general manager of Lexmark Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. Chan joins Lexmark with more than 25 years of experience in senior Asian positions within IT companies in Asia Pacific. Chan started his career with IBM in Singapore and spent 15 years there. He was the general manager of products and services when he left IBM. Subsequently, he then joined Dell as the vice president for Asia for five years and also started Dell business including manufacturing operations in China. His last job prior to Lexmark was with EMC where he joined the storage company as the vice president for Greater China and Southeast Asia.
