Computer Sciences Corporation has appointed Matthew Day vice president of Account Management for CSC’s Australian operations. Day joined the company in 1994 and held various senior financial roles in Europe before moving to Australia. For the past five years, he has served as vice president of Finance and Administration for CSC’s Australian operations. Previously, he worked for Bowthorpe PLC and British Aerospace PLC. Day is a Chartered Management Accountant and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southampton.

Prior to joining CSC, Kowal was CIO at Western Mining Corporation and led the IT integration of WMC into BHP Billiton. Before that, he was CIO of BHP Billiton Base Metals, Global Information Technology Outsourcing manager at BHP Billiton, and held various roles at C&W Optus and the Federal Department of Defence. Kowal succeeds Emily Richmond-Jones, who held the position for five years and has been appointed director of Service Delivery for CSC in Western Australia.
