MessageLabs appoints SMB sales director APAC

Messaging and web security provider, MessageLabs, has appointed Tim Bentley as Small and Medium Business Sales Director for Australia and New Zealand. Bentley has held various roles with MessageLabs since joining the company in 2002. He initially started as Corporate Account Manager in the UK office and was selected to move to Australia the following year as MessageLabs expanded into international markets. Prior to his current appointment, Bentley held the position of Enterprise Sales Executive in the Australian office. Prior to joining MessageLabs UK, Bentley held UK-based sales roles at Cable & Wireless, MCI Worldcom and Royal & Sun Alliance.

IT infrastructure technologies provider Rittal has expanded its sales and marketing team in Australia with the appointment of Mark Roberts as product manager based in Sydney. Roberts joins Rittal in Australia with 12 years’ experience in the IT industry and was formerly with the UK operation where he was IT Product Manager. During his six years with the organisation his role encompassed being a solutions architect for the design of data centre infrastructure, including liquid cooling, UPS, power distribution, environmental monitoring and physical security.

IT services provider ASG Group Limited (ASX: ASZ) has appointed Ritchie Malin as general manager, Northern Region, based at ASG's Sydney office with responsibility for business operations in New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and Queensland. In a career that includes a 10 year period in the UK, Mr Malin has held a number of senior management positions with service and product based IT companies. During his time in London, he was Managing Director of Sysao Ltd, one of the largest Oracle partners in the UK. At Sysao, he was responsible for growing the company's annual turnover from A$1.5 million to A$18 million before preparing it for the eventual merger with FTSE-listed IT Services company Compel Group PLC in May 2004. Mr Malin returned to Australia in 2005 to run Compel Group's Australian subsidiary before accepting the position with ASG.

David Kaplan has joined ISS’ national security technical team to assist with pre-sales consulting, security system design and integration. Kaplan brings 12 years of IT industry experience to his role, including 10 years as a security specialist servicing clients all over Australia. Prior to joining ISS, Kaplan held a systems engineer, national security specialist role at Cisco Systems.
