Kevin Rose, founder of content aggregator Digg, knows about the iPhone, he's leaked a lot in a podcast which is up on YouTube, and he's nervous about Apple retribution. Rose says there will be two flash RAM iPhone models, 4GB (US$249) and 8GB (US$449), they'll have two batteries, they'll be very small, they'll have a slide out keyboard and they'll be compatible with all the main cellular technologies.

I originally wanted to title this article "Zune is iPod envy incarnate" but, after reading another article which explored the iPod envy angle, I decided to take a different tack. From what I understand, Zune is actually a very nice player, as is iRiver, Sansa and of course iPod. However, the player itself has very little to do with why Zune will probably be a flop, at least initially.

The article does indeed raise some important defects in Microsoft's strategy. The good news for Microsoft is that most of them can be fixed. The bad news is that one key problem cannot.
