In yet another spreading of its wings, Google has launched a free voice and video chat service that enables users in Australia to connect with users elsewhere in the world. Although a 21Mbps wireless broadband demo took place overseas a few weeks ago, Telstra decided to use its “Investor Day” to make its first Australian demo in front of partners, analysts and the press, with more trials in December and a “full commercial launch early next year”.
