According to the publication Fleet News, the top two most reliable automobile manufacturers used by British fleet management companies are BMW and Honda. And for most reliable car models, Honda had three of the top five models, with BMW capturing the other two spots.

An Oregon State University study has shown that automobile tires could someday be made partially out of trees—and they would perform better than silica-based rubber tires, save people money on fuel costs, and cost less to purchase. It sounds like they are "barking up the right tree"!

In 1995, the maximum speed limit on interstate highways in the United States was changed from 55 miles per hour (mph) nationwide to a state-regulated system (that resulted in many speeds of 65 mph or above). A research study concludes that the change directly caused an extra 12,500 deaths over the next ten years on U.S. interstates.
