ABC NewsRadio, Australia’s only 24 hour continuous news service, has axed one of its longest running programs because it wants to divert funding elsewhere. The program? StarStuff, the only space, science, astronomy and cosmology show on Australian radio. What a shame!

DISH Network loses new satellite via Russian Proton rocket

On Saturday, March 15, 2008, the Breeze-M (Briz-M) upper stage of a Russian Proton rocket failed on its second burn, which left its Americom-14 (AMC-14) communications satellite useless in space. The satellite would have provided home services for DISH Network customers.
