As a hitherto very satisfied Westnet customer, I am concerned that the acquisition will lead to a drop in customer service. This is one area where Westnet shone, while they assure that won't change, we know how big companies work. The day they announce a move of call centres to India etc I am outta there! - Noel

Well with regard to Internode they are guessing - as a private company Internode don't have to make public any details of anything... - Dustin

Sorry - that should have read: According to a chart in iiNet's investor presentation, Telstra has about 2.5m BROADBAND subs, Optus about 900,000, iiNet and Westnet combined about 400,000, AAPT about 200,000, Soul and TPG combined about the same and Internode just under 100,000 - all as at December 2007. - Stuart Corner (author)
