			<description>I see no point in this unless Microsoft:

* provide full and irrevocable patent protections for anyone (even commercial interests) who implements these formats
* makes sure that the specs are fully compatible with free software, particularly the GPL
* commit to documenting everything (now and in the future) in a timely manner and making those documents easily downloadable for free
* include all related specs and technologies (e.g. macros, formulae, DRM) in the above protections

If Microsoft can't commit to these, we are still dealing with a proprietary format. - Sridhar Dhanapalan</description>
