Ian is a senior journalist with more than 15 years' experience in the information technology and telecommunications industries.
Currently working as a freelance journalist, he writes regularly for a range of publications including IT Wire, The Australian newspaper, Cnet.com.au and ZDnet.com.au.
Prior to establishing a freelance business, Ian worked full-time at The Australian newspaper where he was editor of the paper's industry-leading weekly IT section. In this position he was responsible for a team of 16 journalists and production staff which produced stories for both print and online editions.
Before accepting the role of editor, Ian was a senior writer for The Australian specialising in telecommunications and networking. Prior to this, he worked in the United Kingdom for seven years, writing for a range of newspapers and IT industry publications.
