February 7, 2007Melbourne Exinda Networks, the only provider of Unified Performance Management (UPM) solutions worldwide, today announced continued expansion of its executive team with the appointment of Dr. Jim Christie as its vice president of worldwide sales.
Based in Melbourne, Christie will be responsible for meeting Exinda’s revenue targets and executing on the accelerated development of Exinda’s expanding global sales team in Australia as well as though its office locations in Boston, London and Frankfurt.
Christie has more than 25 years of experience in the information technology industry. His entrepreneurial spirit has led him to frequent success with growing sales teams and exceeding revenue targets.
He joins Exinda from wireless messaging company, Infostream, where he was CEO and General Manager based in Sydney. During his tenure, Christie started an entirely new corporate entity within Infostream focused on building a business based on WAN acceleration and optimisation.
Prior, he was Managing Director Asia Pacific of Aprisma Management Technologies which he turned into the most profitable subsidiary within Aprisma prior to its sale to Computer Associates. He has also held regional management positions in North America with SupplyWorks, Delano Corporation, and ERP specialist vendors, QAD and JBA International.
Christie was also the founder and CEO of Triathon Business Computers, a consulting and systems integration firm specialising in legacy migration solutions which he went on to sell to Sanyo/Icon which was subsequently acquired by EMC. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Chemistry) from Southwestern College (Kansas, USA), a Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University (California) and a Doctor of Philosophy, Physical Chemistry from Kansas State University.
