SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – January 8, 2007 – PatchLink® Corporation has been named the number one worldwide “Patching and Remediation” vendor for the second year in a row with 14.4 percent of the global market share, according to leading analyst firm IDC.
According to a recent IDC report1, PatchLink led the worldwide “Patching and Remediation” segment with 25.6 percent growth from 2004 to 2005. Highlights from the report include:
· The Security and Vulnerability Management revenue had a robust 15% growth from 2004 to 2005;
· By 2010, the market should exceed revenue of US$3.4 billion, with a steady growth rate of 16.7%;
· By the end of the forecast, three submarkets - Policy and compliance, security information and event management, and patching and remediation will all exceed US$500 million in vendor revenue.

Enterprises understand that they need to remove known vulnerabilities through patching and configuration setting, thus this segment is the fastest growing among all the security management submarkets."
