Limited Information Systems Division (ISD) today announced a refresh on its Tecra and Portege business notebook range, which incorporates the latest Intel Core2 Duo processors, optimised to support Microsoft Windows Vista*.A new addition to the business range is the Tecra P, designed to be a durable and secure mobile computer for daily business computing. The Tecra P replaces the flagship Tecra S3 notebook, launched as the world's first notebook to fully comply with the European Union's Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive.
The refreshed models are all Vista ready and the latest Intel chipsets deliver power savings to extend the mobile working day through improved battery-operating times and increase overall performance by aiming to speed up everyday tasks.
Toshiba's business range aims to offer a notebook appropriate to suit any business need and budget requirement. Toshiba's business notebooks are built to minimise total lifetime cost of ownership, especially the Tecra P and Tecra M5 notebooks. This is achieved through Toshiba's EasyGuard suite of technologies, which assist in protecting against data loss and theft, as well as improving connectivity through wired or wireless features. These features include fingerprint reader, spill-resistant keyboard, anti-theft timer, RAID, and Device Access Control.
