CloudShield and Systex Join Forces to Deliver Advanced Content Control Solutions in South Asia

Hong Kong – December 7, 2006 – CloudShield Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of IP services control and security solutions, and Systex, a leading supplier of network and service control solutions, are teaming up to address the growing challenges of managing and securing mixed, high-volume IP services traffic, such as VoIP and IPTV in South Asia.
As part of its market expansion strategy, Systex is CloudShield’s first partner in South Asia, and its second in the Asia-Pacific region. The partnership will enable the two to respond to customers’ requirements that are exceeding the capabilities of first generation Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) single-function appliance solutions. Systex will be reselling CloudShield’s CS-2000, offering multi-application content control and security solutions, ensuring their customers keep pace with evolving service control and security requirements. CloudShield’s flexible solutions and advanced DPI techniques enable new levels of control and security of services and network traffic.

“Systex, being a domain expert in Content and Service Control Management, brings a deeper understanding of local issues and priorities to our customer engagements in South Asia,” said Greg Kershaw, APAC managing director at CloudShield. “The micro-controls offered through CloudShield’s content control solutions are a perfect fit for the rigid demands presented by the cultural pluralism in the region.”

"These joined forces enable the complete offering of platform, applications and integration services to come true and provide personalized, value-added and agile services to our customers," said Hilo Chen, the President and CEO of Systex Corporation.

Leveraging CloudShield’s CS-2000 service control platform and recently introduced Content Control Suite (CCS) software, Systex will offer operators in South Asia control of advanced IP services traffic without disrupting their current network infrastructures. Together with CCS, the CS-2000 is designed to inspect, analyze and control IP traffic content – including voice, video and data – at multi-gigabit rates from one compact, scalable platform. Unlike traditional point solutions, CCS is also highly flexible, allowing carriers to manage and tailor a wide range of services for their specific market needs.

“With the continued adoption and evolution of IP networks, service providers are finding the need for more powerful DPI capabilities to deliver highly-segmented security and advanced IP services,” said George Chang, managing director of Systex SouthAsia “CloudShield provides the breadth of capabilities and flexibility required for service providers to successfully deliver and secure advanced IP services from a common network device, enabling the next-generation service control platform.”
