Firewall Systems first Tippingpoint distributor

Sydney Australia, 9 September 2005 - TippingPoint, a division of 3Com and the leader in intrusion prevention, today announced an agreement under which Firewall Systems will be the first major Australian distributor of TippingPoint products.

TippingPoint's Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) block worms, viruses, Trojans, Denial of Service attacks, VoIP threats, and Spyware. They also perform bandwidth management.

Firewall Systems distributes data security technologies to the Australian reseller market and offers security solutions applicable to small businesses, large enterprises and government departments.

Ray Massey, TippingPoint Asia Pacific Channel Director said that Firewall Systems has the security focus and reseller base necessary to grow market awareness for IPS.
