Objective was selected under the WA Government’s preferred supplier panel for Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) (Common Use Arrangement 8005). Objective replaces an existing implementation of multiple, disparate systems with a central, single solution for workflow, document and records management. The contract extends for period of five years and represents a minimum value of AUD $2.0 million.
HCN provides consolidated Supply, Finance, Human Resources and Business Support services to all of WA Health, processing some 6000 transactions each day, for example: leave applications, overtime sheets, purchase requisitions, invoices and many more.
In a 650 user, enterprise-wide implementation Objective will deliver transaction processing for HCN’s entire operations, automating the capture, storage and distribution of work to relevant business units.
As a shared services provider, the HCN’s primary purpose is to deliver efficiencies and cost savings to the WA government. In a quest for continual improvement, the HCN recognised it could streamline and automate processes to improve the efficiency of its current operation. This would result in the delivery of better quality services to its customer, WA Health, in terms of both speed of delivery and quality and consistency of services. It would also deliver cost savings to the government.
Objective delivers the HCN benefits in two key areas:
Business Process Management
Electronic Document and Records Management
Mr Simon Watts, Team Leader - HCN Systems Project, Health Corporate Network, said: “Objective was selected based on its ability to meet both our content management and business transaction support requirements within a single, unified solution.
“The single solution offered significant benefits over multiple integrated systems in terms of value to our business, ease of use, ongoing solution support and future maintenance considerations.”
Mr Tony Walls, CEO Objective Corporation said: “Working with HCN to deliver a comprehensive platform to support its corporate shared services is yet another example of Objective’s suitability for content-enabled applications for Government.”
