Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Awaresoft, the developers of a highly automated web application builder that enables organisations to rapidly build complex web-based database applications, today announced that it has won a contract for supplying its Aware IM platform to Event Project Management, a leading project management consulting firm for the construction and property sector.
The deployment of Aware IM software by Event Project Management will enable the organisation to optimise enterprise collaboration of its document management, contract management and cost administration processes by automating tasks and making them accessible by users throughout the organisation. Aware IM includes a web server, a configuration tool to create or change applications, and a built-in database engine.
Event Project Management provides project management services in the property and construction industry. Among its clients are Anglican Retirement Villages, Stockland, Nestle, Caltex, Paspaley Pearls, Christian City Church and Sophos.
The organisation required a software tool that would enable it to build a single repository of information that could be easily automated and accessed by staff irrespective of their location, whether in the head office in Sydney, over the Internet at a client site or via mobile wireless communications in the field.
“Some of our employees can spend several days at a client site and being able to efficiently access the latest document version is critical in enabling us to maintain our productivity, provide transparency to clients and deliver ongoing strong customer service,” said Andrew Graham, Managing Director, Event Project Management.
“Whether they be minutes of a meeting held in Microsoft Word, a cost report stored in Microsoft Excel or a Microsoft Project Office document, Aware IM will automate access to these server-based documents enabling us to become more efficient in our business operations.”
Event Project Management provides its clients with a range of services, including property search, due diligence studies, statutory authority liaison, design management, tendering, negotiation and contract administration.
“Aware IM’s benefit to an organisation such as ours is that it provides multi-user access which will really help us in key areas of the business by superseding current methodologies such as spreadsheet-based contract administration,” said Graham.
Event Project Management selected Awaresoft following a trial of different products in the market.
“Aware IM met our needs in being able to provide the company with a platform for the creation of a central repository of information that can be easily accessed, used and exchanged between users. Aware IM will help us put the power back into the hands of our end-users, while also affording executive management with greater access to more reliable and centralised information,” said Graham.
Aware IM will enable Event Project Management to store all electronic client information, including documents, e-mails and scanned physical files, all within an integrated electronic client file.
