Visual productivity leader Mindjet appoints Aquion as distributor

Mindjet®, the leading provider of personal productivity and collaboration solutions that visually connect ideas, information and people, has appointed Aquion Pty Ltd as a distributor of Mindjet products in Australia.

Aquion boasts an expanding channel partner community providing Mindjet MindManager and Mindjet Connect collaborative visual productivity (mind mapping) solutions to an A-list of Australia’s financial services, government and mining/resources. Other sectors include high profile global information technology companies.

Mindjet Asia-Pacific Vice President Jon Wong said: “This is very good news as we expand the reach of our visual collaboration software. Aquion’s commitment to innovative solutions, backed by a depth of technical expertise and support, will benefit our channel partners and their customers.”

Aquion CEO Stephen Balicki said: “We already use Mindjet technology to streamline processes, decision-making and projects in our own organisation. We see significant potential for growth in visualisation solutions like MindManager and Mindjet Connect, especially in the current economic climate, which demands co-ordinated teamwork and collaboration to affect business outcomes positively.”

Aquion plans to acquire new channels partners specialising in Knowledge Management and Project Management. The company will target Government and major corporations as sectors where Mindjet can help with the development and execution of business plans.

Mr Balicki said: “We want to take Mindjet from workgroups in the enterprise to wider applications, too. Because so many Australians work in knowledge-based industries, we are confident Mindjet’s products will be well received.”

Mr Balicki says Aquion sees a real need for businesses to innovate and turn ideas into action; MindManager is ideal for facilitating this. The response from Aquion’s installed customer base is positive: customers impressed with the power of mind mapping are introducing new prospects to the company,

Aquion plans to implement a Customer Round Table using Mindjet Connect to share information in a multi-user, shared workspace environment. The company will also promote Mindjet to end users through customer councils and events, training webinars and specialist resellers.

Aquion has used Mindjet technology to design its new website, develop multiple customer presentations and document operating procedures. “Because MindManager integrates tightly with Microsoft Office and SharePoint, it provides the lynchpin for our business documentation and processes,” said Mr Balicki.
