IT consulting and professional services company Oakton Limited (ASX:OKN) today announced a $1.5 million agreement with traffic enforcement technology provider, Tenix Solutions, to provide IT services for the first phase of the development of a global infringement management solution.

Terry O'Donoghue, executive general manager of Tenix Solutions described the initiative as, "One that would see Tenix Solutions capitalise and expand on its existing strong base of infringement management services in the parking, traffic management and tolling areas through the establishment of a world class system solution approach. He said he was pleased to expand the very successful relationship with Oakton to include partnering on this major business initiative."

OKN managing director Paul Holyoake said, "The announcement was a very strategic one for the company and he was delighted that a company of Tenix's standing had selected Oakton to play such a key role with their systems initiatives".

OKN shares were lightly traded and closed down 1c to finish on $1.42.
