The latest version of Parallels Plesk Panel offers improved performance and new support options for hosting companies.

As foreshadowed, Parallels has released Parallels Plesk Panel 11.

New features include the nginx server (said to reduce CPU and memory usage by 50% for Linux users, as well as providing better performance than the Apache server), a new self-service web design tool, optimisation for mobile device users, security improvements, and optional premium support via email, phone, Sykpe or live chat.

There's also support for openSUSE 12.1, Ubuntu 12.04, and Debian 6; full IPv6 support (single or dual stack); support for APS 1.2 for easy deployment of packaged applications; and a new SDK for the creation of Parallels Plesk Panel extensions.

“Parallels remains laser-focused on helping smaller and growing Web hosters and Website designers drive more revenue and expand their businesses,” said Parallels CEO Birger Steen.
